Founder

Upstairs Trader
Founder · Designer · Operator (2014–present)

Twelve years actively trading equities, options, and futures from a home desk. The original spec for EVE began as the founder's own daily-driver — built to fix the four moments retail blows up: tilt, revenge, early-exit, oversize.

The product was built solo, without prior funding, against the founder's actual trading P&L on his actual hardware (Pentium-class baseline by design). Every doctrine in the app — Single-Screen Sufficiency, The Stage, The Glass, Lightweight Edge, BYOK — comes from years of friction trading on platforms that were built for someone else.

"EVE is not a tool I'd sell to a trader. She's the partner I wished I'd had the first ten years."

Story angles

The voice trading partner
EVE is not an autopilot. She watches the human, intervenes on the four ways retail blows up, and remembers patterns better than the trader does. Voice-native. Always on. Never trades for you.
Built for the kid on a used laptop
The performance doctrine: hand-tuned Canvas 2D, no JVM, no blur on critical paths. Targets Pentium-class hardware on purpose. "Built for a Pentium. Feels like an i9."
User-owned data + USB portability
The platform doesn't own your data. Your profile.json travels on a USB. EVE never sees your broker password — the connection uses a key stored in your operating system's secure credential vault.
The four ways retail blows up
The Compact: in-trade discipline enforcement. Auto-snap stops back. After 3 losses she steps in — voice push-back, ticket pre-fill cancelled, R-drift flagged. Make you confirm early exits. The trader sets the rules; EVE enforces them.
The dopamine architecture
Holographic recall on journal day-clicks. EDGE grade-card flips. Ambient scan notifications. The screen feels alive on purpose — variable-reward primitives married to discipline tools.
Founder-led, pre-seed
Built solo, no outside capital, on the founder's actual trading hardware. Launches direct-to-trader. Broker-agnostic by design. See the investor brief.
